What is Phoenix Trader Funding?

Phoenix Trader Funding is a futures prop firm offering two main evaluation paths — Classic and Ascension — with funded traders keeping 100% of their first $10,000 in profit, then a 90/10 split after that. It's a newer firm with a growing reputation. Note that overnight and weekend holding is not permitted, so it's built for day traders.

Classic vs Ascension — which to pick?

Ascension

Sizes: $50K, $150K. Uses a static max drawdown and is the only program with the active scaling plan (position size grows as you profit). Requires a minimum of 10 trading days. Best if you want to scale up over time.

Scaling plan (Ascension)

Ascension's scaling grows your position size as you make profit — for example, starting at 2 minis (20 micros) and increasing to 3 minis once you reach $2,500 in profit (tiers vary by account). This rewards consistent performance with more size over time.
